Texas Attorney General Ken PaxtonPaxton said the California-based company agreed to settle the charges by paying $8 million, a sum that Google forfeited because it hired DJs to advertise the Pixel 4 but didn't provide them with devices. Thus, they advertise a smartphone with the functionality of which they are not familiar.

Ken Paxton noted that Texas will do everythingto protect the public and the state's economy from advertisements that may mislead people. Google, for its part, noted that it is responsible for complying with advertising laws.
