Google 10.61: new screenshot search function and Assistant redesign

In the latest version of the Google app 10.61, a new search function has appeared and the design of the Assistant has changed slightly.

After the screenshot is taken, the screena few buttons will appear. In addition to the familiar editing and Share functions, a new “Lens” button is now displayed there. It will allow you to search using Google Lens and OCR (optical character recognition), find visually similar elements.

It is not yet clear whether the function will apply to all screenshots or just not those made in the Search.

Assistant

Google has also slightly changed the design of the assistant. Now, when the Google Assistant launches, it displays tablet-shaped prompts below, with two sentences in the interface at the same time. After the update, these tips will become round and will be located above, above the "conversation" with the Assistant. Thus, the application will show 4 variants of questions at the same time.

Also, while listening to episodes on GooglePodcasts users will be able to add bookmarks. When you click the play button, the current time stamp is saved, and the panel that appears after that allows you to view a list of all the saves.
