Google caught transmitting data to Russian company under sanctions

It became known that Google transferred user data to the Russian advertising company RuTarget even after

how the U.S. imposed sanctions against the latter in April.

Google had to stop sharing data with RuTarget after sanctions were announced. But according to ProPublica and Adalytics, that didn't happen.

ProPublica reports that Google continuedshare with RuTarget information such as unique mobile phone identifiers, IP addresses, location and interest data of users, as well as their online activity on Ukrainian websites.

Google has already stated that they are committed to complying with allsanctions laws. The Company has reviewed the organizations in question and taken appropriate action. RuTarget was also banned from using unauthorized organizations in Russia to buy ads from Google.
