The activist said that unique Android Advertising Identifier (AAID) advertising codes are generated in smartphones based on the Android operating system. They are identical to Apple's advertising identifiers, with the help of which Google and third parties can monitor user activity on the Internet in order to improve the delivery of ads. He also drew attention to the fact that it is impossible to disable tracking.
“With these hidden identifiers on your phone, Google and third parties can spy on users without their consent,” said a lawyer at the non-profit organization None of Your Business.
The representatives of the organization noted that these actions are contrary to European legislation on cookies.
