Google has created a real cemetery of its closed services

Google is rightfully considered the main killer of its own projects. Corporation employees decided

make fun of this and opened a real cemetery of ruined projects for Halloween.

What it is

In the lobby of the Google office in Seattle for HalloweenAn unusual installation appeared: creepy tombstones with the names of services that were closed at different times. These are Picasa, RSS aggregator Google Reader, Google Buzz, Google Wave, social network Orkut, Google+.

“I can’t tell, is this creepy or just sad?” — writes Google employee Dana Fried.

Of course, the number of closed Google projects is actually much larger - more than 180 in total. There is even a site on the Internet called Killed By Google - a digital graveyard of Google services.
