Google hires third-party virus companies on Google Play

The IT giant has entered into partnership agreements with companies involved in mobile security - ESET, Lookout and

Zimperium. The partnership is expected to result in the eradication of malicious applications from the application store for Android devices.

What will they do?

This was announced on Wednesday. Each company has confirmed its participation in the "Application Protection Alliance", created to "stop bad applications before they get to users' gadgets." Google has been fighting malware for several years now. And although new programs in the market are constantly scanned, the company is constantly accused of insufficient efforts in this direction. Now, the “alliance” will work on the integration of anti-virus engines of all three companies into Google Play Protect technology.
