Google in Russia fined 22 billion rubles for not removing some videos

The Magistrate's Court of the Tagansky District of Moscow fined Google 21 billion 770 million 392 thousand 317 rubles.And all for the fact that

the company did not remove some videos from YouTube, the information in which is considered prohibited in Russia. Discuss

The court interpreted this as a repeated violation.It is specified that the amount of the fine is 10% of Google's annual revenue in the Russian Federation. The company was found guilty under Part 5 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (repeated violation of the procedure for restricting access to materials containing prohibited information).

The prohibited category included “inaccurate information aboutduring a special military operation in Ukraine that discredits the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; materials propagating extremist views and the ideology of terrorist organizations, as well as instructions for the manufacture of explosives.
