Google is still trying to fix Gmail sync issues with Outlook

Google itself says that it is likely related to Microsoft's servers and, according to the status page, the company has already contacted Microsoft to resolve the issue.

At first glance, it may seem that such a problemis niche in nature, because Microsoft has its own Outlook client, but Gmail is a pre-installed email program on Android and the system encourages you to add all mailboxes there, not just from Google.

Right now, when you try to download your Outlook or Hotmail inbox in Gmail, you'll only see your old emails or an error message telling you that there's a problem syncing the folder and prompting you to try again later.According to Google, the issue affects "all device platforms."
