Google is testing the Play Pass Subscription service for premium apps and games.

Google has begun testing a new Play Pass subscription service for Google Play, which will provide access

to “hundreds of premium apps and games” without ads or in-app purchases.

What is known

This year Apple announced Apple Arcade,monthly subscription service with access to a library of mobile games on iOS devices. Apple Arcade hasn't launched yet, but Google is already testing its own service called Play Pass to compete with Apple.

Google has started working on the Play Pass servicelast year and now the first screenshots of the beta version have appeared. A subscription will cost $4.99 and this is really not much, considering that many applications on Google Play are more expensive. Although the price may change when the service becomes publicly available.
