Google launches Google Play store redesign for Wear OS 3.0 smartwatches. But not for everyone yet

At the Google I/O developer conference in mid-May, an updated platform for wearables was announced

Google Wear OS devices. And now Google seems to be committed to redesigning the Google Play store.

What changed

Information about the new interface for Wear OS 3.0 was shared by a Reddit user with a Suunto 7 watch. However, it is quite strange that so far, apart from him, the new appearance with Material You elements has not yet appeared among other users.

However, there are visual changes: the icons have become round and decreased in size, and the text size has also decreased. Apparently, this was done so that more information could fit on the small screen.

New design

At the same time, the lists of applications have basically not changed, but the “Open” button has received a different shape and now occupies the entire width of the display. In addition, the search icon has been recolored from green to white.

Let's remember that the Google Play store design for Wear OS was last changed at the end of 2019.
