Google stops releasing updates for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones can now officially be called obsolete. They didn't work worse than a month

ago, and many will be satisfied with their performance, but Google has stopped releasing updates.

What is known

Google left both models without the November patchsecurity. Thus, the October update, which was released a few weeks ago, was the last monthly update for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. Although it is possible that in a few months the company will release a minor patch to fix bugs.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL were announced in 2019year and became the first smartphones of the Pixel series with 3D face recognition technology, but without a fingerprint scanner. They went on sale with the Android 10 operating system, and are now running Android 13.
