Google will disable syncing of bookmarks and history in older versions of Chrome

Google will stop supporting cross-device syncing on legacy Chrome browsers after

release of the latest stable version of the application.

On the official google support forumit is said that as soon as the stable version of Chrome 96 is released, all browsers from version 48 and older will no longer support syncing between devices. Google previously announced this change in the Chrome Enterprise release notes, and it's now down to implementation.

Chrome 96 is expected to be released duringthe second half of November, so the company has notified users in advance so that everyone can prepare for these changes or update to the proposed test version.
