This was reported by a representativegovernment Steffen Hebestreit during a press briefing, writes Politico. Hebestreit did not name the number of tanks, but earlier there was talk of 88 units. Presumably the amount of weapons will be more than 100 million euros.

Unfortunately, when the tanks will arrive in Ukraine is still unknown. By the way, in addition to Leopard 1, Germany will also transfer 14 Leopard 2 tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Leopard 1 is Germany's main battle tank.It began to be developed after World War II together with France, but then the cooperation was stopped. Leopard 1 is in service with 12 countries.
