It took him only 130 seconds to do everything about everything.At the same time, it was possible to hack using a smartphone. To do this, the researcher took advantage of the feature added in 2021 to open a car using NFC on the phone.

Herfurt found out that after opening the vehicle with a real key, the electric car's system switchesto the mode of automatic registration of new keys via Bluetooth for 130 seconds.

Taking advantage of this gap, the specialist took control of two models of Tesla electric vehicles at once: Models 3 and Y.
