Hackers announced the hacking of the PlayStation 5

Prominent hacker group Fail0verflow said it has made significant progress in its attempts to hack

PlayStation 5 security system. Discuss

Today hackers reported that they gained access tointernal "PS5 root keys" used to decrypt parts of the console's firmware. Unfortunately, Fail0verflow did not explain exactly how they did this. However, it is possible that the hackers are not lying, and then this news is a serious problem for Sony.

Back in 2011, the Fail0verflow grouping was able tohack the PlayStation 3 security system. Hackers have complete control over what can be launched on the console. They hacked the PS4 too. Therefore, there is reason to trust the words of hackers. If they succeed, hackers will be able to play games on PS5 without purchasing or use cheats.
