Hackers hacked one of the world's largest game publishers Electronic Arts

During the attack, hackers hacked into Electronic Arts' computer system and stole 780 gigabytes of data, in particular

the source code for the Frostbite game engine, which is used in the FIFA and Battlefield series of games.

They also received development toolsFIFA 21 software and server code for matchmaking in the game FIFA 22. Now the code developed by the company can be copied by other developers.

The company representatives note that no players' personal data have been leaked.

We are investigating a recent incursion into our network. Some of the source code of the games, as well as related tools, have been stolen.

An EA spokesperson added that the hack was not a ransomware attack.

According to the telegram channel, all the stolen information is sold on the darknet: they ask for $ 28 million in bitcoins for it.
