Hammacher Schlemmer unveils 113 km/h hovercraft for $190,000

The American company Hammacher Schlemmer presented a flying hovercraft. The model is called

simply The Flying Hovercraft.

What is known

The aircraft can move above the groundand above water up to 1.8 m (6 ft). The power reserve is 250 km, and the maximum speed is 113 km/h. The Flying Hovercraft is powered by a 130 horsepower two-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline engine.

Hammacher Schlemmer developersequipped the aircraft with a 60” propeller made of wood-carbon composite. The 34” foot screw rotates at 1100 revolutions per minute.

The Flying Hovercraft can operate in a 40 km/h headwind. The maximum payload reaches 272 kg. The cost of the flying ship was $190,000.
