Handwriting feature coming to Microsoft Office for iPad

Handwriting can be entered and edited in Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. At the same time, handwritten text is immediately automatically converted into printed text.

The Scribble feature allows you to write by hand withusing the Apple Pencil. Scribble was added to iPadOS 14 for any version of iPad that supports the original or second generation Apple Pencil, as well as iPad Pro, iPad Air third generation and later, iPad mini fifth generation and later, and iPad sixth generation and later. Microsoft Office for iPad added the feature in February 2021.

You can test Scribble within the programoffice insider. You can enable the feature in the Settings menu by clicking the Scribble Pen button on the Draw tab in version 2.64 of the Office application. Testing goes through TestFlight. Most likely, for all users, the update will appear in the App Store in the coming weeks.
