Has demand exceeded expectations? Motorola again rescheduled delivery dates for foldable RAZR smartphone

In mid-November, Motorola introduced its first foldable smartphone, the Motorola RAZR flip phone.

Its sales were supposed to start at the end of December, but they had to be postponed until the beginning of 2020. And now it’s January on the calendar, and history repeats itself.

What happened

Recently, on January 26, Motorola began acceptingpre-orders for smartphones. For now, RAZR is only available in the US and is exclusive to the Verizon mobile operator. Initially, deliveries and actual sales were supposed to start on February 6, but after the start of pre-orders, Motorola changed the date to February 18.

Moreover, the company did not comment on thesechanges and did not explain the reason for the postponement. Last time, the start of sales was postponed due to high demand: the manufacturer promised to make the necessary stocks and begin deliveries on February 6.

Probably after Motorola pre-orders openI calculated that these reserves are not enough for everyone who wants to buy a new product. Most likely, demand exceeded the company's expectations. Another possible reason is the lack of flexible panels for the Motorola RAZR.

Let's remember that the other day Motorola also released a selection of video instructions for using the RAZR and stated that over time, folds and irregularities will appear on the screen - and this is normal.
