INOI A62 Lite is one of the most advanced and expensive smartphones
Lite models are focused on a specific audience- we are talking about the elderly, schoolchildren and those who cannot afford the flagships of IT giants - Apple or Samsung. They do not have features that are already familiar to many sophisticated users. For example, you can’t use 4G, apparently because it simply doesn’t exist in many regions of Russia yet. The smartphone is positioned by the company as a mass device for people who cannot or do not want to spend a lot of money on a gadget.
Appearance
INOI A62 Lite unboxing won't be the samefun, like unboxing premium phones. Everything here is very budgetary, no one wanted to surprise with the packaging - the device is in a small bag in the box, next to it is a charger, adapter and instructions. The price of a smartphone clearly dictates how the device arrives to users, but many of them would be willing to pay an extra $100-200 to get the phone in a smarter package. In the end, this can be a gift for your mother, and she will be pleased if "the box is beautiful."
Before using INOI you need to open it,to insert the removable battery. And then immediately there’s a problem, and we haven’t even turned it on yet. Lifting the lid is not an easy task, and how to do it correctly is difficult to visually understand. What saves us is that other people did it for us and recorded a video about it on YouTube. But the instructions don’t make it any easier—the lid fits so tightly that it seems you could simply break the smartphone’s body without even turning it on.
The first thing that catches your eye in INOI A62 Lite isIt is a large 6.1-inch 18:9 edge-to-edge screen. The picture is good - when viewing both photos and videos. The resolution is acceptable - 720x1560 pixels. Even at the largest viewing angles, neither brightness nor colors change, the picture remains consistently pleasing to the eye.

The case is made of plastic, its thickness is less than 9mm, smartphone weight - 204 g. The line came out in only two colors - blue and black. Although the body is glossy, after touching the screen and body, fingerprints do not remain.
Included is a small power supplyDoesn't get hot when charging. The current strength does not exceed 5V / 1.5A with the declared 1A, which corresponds to the battery parameters. There is also a USB Type C cable in the color of the model. But, despite the fact that INOI used a more universal connector, it does not work to charge the phone with a device from a laptop - for some reason the smartphone does not respond to it.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phonefingers and a block of cameras (13 MP and 0.3 MP) with LED flash. Unlocking your phone the first time is a great success; you can do it at least on the second try. Moreover, the fingerprint can only be used for unlocking - this model does not have NFC, but if quite recently this was a problem, now it has ceased - owners of even the most expensive smartphones now also pay everything with a physical bank card. As an alternative, they offer the MirPay payment system; its application is already pre-installed on the smartphone. But when you go to the store to download, it turns out that the device does not support this application. Perhaps one of the future software updates will solve this problem.

Moreover, its setup is surprisingly fast - while on the iPhone you need to twist your face for several minutes and scan yourself from different angles, here the setup is just one selfie frame. Unlocking works perfectly in good light and when looking directly at the screen, but things become more difficult in low light or if you take off your glasses. While wearing a medical mask, the main attribute of the last few years, it is almost impossible to unlock your phone.

But the fact that they are on the same side of the device can be confusing - instead of turning the music down, you can simply turn off the device.
At the bottom of the case there is a speaker and a microphone.The microphone works flawlessly, the sound is clear. The speaker does not convey surround sound and low frequencies very well - everything sounds rather cold and flat. But who listens to music like that these days?
Those who do not like to use speakers canyou don’t even notice it, in a couple of seconds you can “make friends” with your phone even a device from a competitor - Apple AirPods. True, with a slight nuance - if you remove the headphones, the music will not pause, but will continue to play, switching tracks with gestures will not work either. With wired headphones, everything is simpler - in the upper part of the case there is a mini jack 3.5 connector - the best invention of mankind.

"Stuffing" smartphone
The smartphone is running a 4-coreprocessor Spreadtrum SC7731E. It was created according to the 28 nm process technology, the same one was used, for example, in the iPhone 5S. Those who have not yet thrown away their old gadgets can test and compare.
The phone has 2 GB of RAM.Such a modest volume in 2022 is found only in budget phones. Therefore, when using INOI A62 Lite, you have to wait a lot. This is about 5-15 seconds after turning on, up to 20 seconds to load applications, sometimes even typing on the keyboard can lag behind. Therefore, it is better not to rush when typing messages in instant messengers - you can get into embarrassment.
Sometimes the device is even a pity - you don’t want toload him with very difficult tasks that are given to him with obvious difficulty. We haven't installed any apps, but we've already used 44% of the RAM's power. Moreover, most of the volume is needed simply for the system to work. When more applications appear here, I will get to the limit pretty quickly. But that's the secret - the OS is optimized not to go over the threshold of 2 GB, it optimizes those applications that are now used less.
There is 64 GB of internal memory.If it is not enough, you can insert an additional memory card up to 128 GB. To make it easier, I have enabled cloud storage, INOI A62 Lite comes with Google Drive pre-installed and the user gets an additional 15 GB of cloud storage for free. Next to the card slot there is space for two SIM cards, they can work simultaneously.

A small amount of RAM affecteda lot: for example, the budget phone uses Android Go, a lighter version of the operating system. It is intended for developing countries where a lot of users use weak or outdated phones.
This is not a full version of Android - it is sharpenedto conserve resources. It will not be possible to change the design, use full versions of applications, broadcast the phone screen to a TV via Wi-Fi, or control the device with gestures. It is important not to confuse this operating system with Android One and hope that the OS will work without restrictions.
If this becomes a problem, you can searchanother device in the same price range. The obvious alternative will be Chinese manufacturers, where you can find devices based on a full-fledged Android with versions that are still supported by developers.
Nuances of work
On your smartphone, you can watch YouTube videos frommaximum Full HD resolution. But at the same time, the device, whose frameless screen clearly hints at the fact that it is convenient to watch both videos and movies on it, does not support 4G, so do not be surprised by the long download of large video files over the mobile network.
The optimal number of open backgroundapplications - from 3 to 5. But even when YouTube is running in the background, the speed and functionality of the rest does not suffer. For example, files are easily and quickly sent to Telegram and WhatsApp, voice and video messages do not freeze.
Applications inside a smartphone
The smartphone does not have many sensors, for example, formeasuring steps, which would be useful for monitoring physical activity. But INOI A62 supports Bluetooth version 4.2. This means that the sports gadget can be connected separately.
games and apps
It seemed to me that a smartphone with suchcharacteristics are not tailored for “heavy” programs, but dozens of games are already preinstalled inside, clearly designed for children - coloring books, Transformers and Minecraft. “Easy” games work well - the rest freeze, at some moments the screen stops responding to presses, and game records are destroyed. I was not able to install the latest version of the FIFA football simulator, but I didn’t count on it - it often freezes on flagships and even heats up the iPhone.
Apparently, the developers are hinting that it is not necessaryplay, and engage in self-development—for this purpose, the “Training” and “Books” folders were installed here. True, this is also mainly for children - they will find here Lego, an application for the correct spelling of words, and a program for learning speed reading. Of what might be interesting to me, there is only Duolingo. It’s the same in books—mostly fairy tales for children and, of course, a comic based on Smeshariki.
Among the usual applications here you can find ICQ and Netflix. Even if for different reasons, but I don’t even know what surprised me more.
Battery
The smartphone has a removable batterywith a capacity of 3 500 mAh. The company has improved performance compared to the previous model, but the phone's charge did not run out faster, apparently due to the device's low power. To discharge the phone from 80 to 30%, I had to actively use my smartphone for 5-6 hours - chat in instant messengers, take photos, do user tests and watch videos.
True, if you use a smartphone for more than a month,battery capacity is drastically reduced. Judging by the experience of other users, in a year its charge with active use will last only 2-3 hours. Perhaps that is why they made a removable battery here - it will be easier and cheaper to replace it than on most modern devices, where repairs will be more difficult.
Below are tests that show how it chargesbattery. During active work, the processor and battery do not overheat. But when charging, these figures are quite high - we do not recommend actively using a smartphone in this case.

The phone has two cameras - main and front. There is a flash, portrait mode and automatic face retouching.
You should not expect something supernatural from the camera. In a room with low light, the noise in the picture will be more visible.

The camera has autofocus, but it needs a little moretime than advanced phones - about 2-3 seconds. The best way to do this is to help the camera by tapping on the object on the screen that needs to be focused. Otherwise, you will have to wait until the autofocus "wakes up" itself.
You won't be able to take photos on the go; the picture will be blurry. But there are no complaints about autofocus performance in a stable camera position.
Night shooting is not particularly impressive, the picture is out of focus and too noisy. In addition, the colors are washed out.

But when shooting outdoors, the shots are much better. Dynamic range and shadow detailing is good.

The ideal conditions for a smartphone camera to work are bright sunlight. Pictures are sharp, at least for a 13-megapixel camera.

Despite the slow autofocus, the camera captures objects well at close range. You can't call it macro photography, but the results are not bad.

To do this, the employees have written a huge number of instructions for all occasions - you can even find how to set an alarm clock, what type of plastic was used in a particular model and answers to such philosophical questions as “What to do if the phone is slow?”

You can write to a special chat, but there they just sent me a link from the database and invited me to the service center. Another way to solve the problem online is to send an email request through the form on the site. The answer from the experts comes surprisingly quickly, but does not solve the problem - these are all the same links from the site that fit the description of the problem.

The prefix Lite in the name of the smartphone did not appearjust. At the time of writing this article, the device can be purchased for about 7,000 rubles; it is an ultra-budget smartphone that supports many functions. They promise to adjust its price depending on the exchange rate, but the dollar at neither 50 nor 150 did not shake the price of INOI.
A small budget does not mean that in this price rangethe budget does not find alternatives. If some characteristics scare you or you expect to get from the phone not only video viewing, instant messengers and a phone, then you should take a closer look at not the newest, but not outdated models of popular manufacturers on which all updates work - with some requests they, despite their age, they do better than the budget INOI model.
What's the bottom line?
INOI A62 Lite 64GB is a good smartphone in itsprice category. You should not expect much from it, this is a device that is primarily aimed at the user who does not count on a large number of high-quality functions.
It is unlikely that INOI A52 Lite will be able to replace my usuala smartphone, and far from the latest model - it has too weak hardware. The device can be called functional, but hardly of high quality - considering that for a modern person a smartphone is not just a phone, but also a player where you need a large amount of cache, heavy cards, a means of exchanging work files - the device will handle such a range of tasks, but that's for sure won't happen quickly. The model is suitable only for basic needs - talking on the phone, chatting in instant messengers, monitoring social networks and watching videos.
Because of its main advantage - the price - to think aboutit can be bought only with a small budget. As one of the options, you can consider it if you want to buy a simple smartphone for children or the elderly - those who need to be in touch, and additional features will be just a bonus for them.
