Honor is preparing a budgetary 8S with a 5.7-inch IPS-screen and MediaTek Helio A22 chip

Honor is preparing a new smartphone model - 8S. First, renders of the device appeared online, and now

“leaked” its detailed characteristics.

Design

Honor 8S received a 5.71-inch IPS displaywith a resolution of 1520x720 pixels and a teardrop-shaped cutout for the front camera, as well as a “chin” with the “Honor” inscription. But the back panel is made quite interesting: the cameras, flash and logos are highlighted with a matte stripe.

But the fingerprint scanner is nowhere to be seen. Looks like he won't be here.

What's inside

An inexpensive MediaTek chip is installed under the hoodHelio A22 with eight-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU up to 2.0 GHz. There will be several versions - with 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal memory. There is also a slot for microSD memory cards.

The main camera is 13 megapixels with the abilityVideo recording in Full HD format, front - 5 MP. A 3020 mAh battery is responsible for autonomy. Out of the box, the smartphone should receive Android 9 Pie OS in the proprietary EMUI 9.0 shell.

How much Honor 8S will cost is unknown, but judging by its characteristics, it is a budget model. The exact date of the announcement also remains a mystery, but most likely the official release is coming soon.
