Today in China, the sub-brand Huawei Honor introduced a new generation of their notebooks - the Honor MagicBook 2019.
What have changed
Last year's Honor MagicBook was very similar toMacBook Pro (without Touch Bar). In this generation, nothing has changed: the new laptop looks the same as the old one: the same 14-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, the same dimensions - 32.3 × 22.1 × 15.8 mm, weight - 1.47 kg.
There are also a fingerprint scanner, a 1-megapixel camera, speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology and a 57.4-watt battery with a 65-watt power supply.
The only thing that changed in Honor MagicBook2019 is a processor. If previously used Intel Core i5-8250U or Core i7-8550U, now they are replaced by AMD Ryzen 5 3500U and Ryzen 7 3700U with GPU Radeon Vega 8 and Vega 10 respectively. The amount of RAM is still 8 GB, but the capacity of the SSD-drive has increased - by 256 and 512 GB.
In addition, the technology supports Magic-link 2.0 for easy transfer of photos, videos, documents and other files from a smartphone to a laptop.
Version with Ryzen 5 processor and Vega 8 graphicswill go on sale in China tomorrow. Its cost is from 529 to 569 euros, depending on the amount of memory. The version with Ryzer 7 will have to wait until the end of May.
