Honor Smart Screen TV will receive a new Honghu 818 processor and a sliding camera

Recently, the Huawei Honor sub-brand announced the release of its first Honor Smart Screen TV. And today at the conference

GMIC (Global Mobile Internet Conference), which was held in Guangzhou, Honor head George Zhao revealed new details.

What to expect

First of all, Honor Smart Screens are not just TVs, they are “smart” displays. The company plans to release regular and Pro versions with screen diagonals of 55, 65 and 75 inches.

A new Honghu processor will be installed inside818, which was developed by Huawei Hisilicon in collaboration with another Chinese giant, Baidu. It supports HDR, Super Resolution (SR), noise reduction and dynamic contrast enhancement modes, automatic color adjustment, MEMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation) technology, Histen sound quality optimization technology. 7 technologies at once will improve clarity, contrast and color rendition.

In addition, Honghu 818 supports 8K video decoding at 30 fps and 4K at 120 fps, as well as 64 MP for images.

The smart display will also have a pop-up camera with AI functions for taking photos, video conferencing and facial recognition.

When to expect

The official premiere of Honor Smart Screen will take place on August 10, as part of the HDC 2019 developer conference. The JD.com platform is already accepting applications, but the exact price is not indicated there.
