Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization have concluded that stroke
Researchers made a model of vascular dynamicsnetwork, showing how it adapts to the load. It turned out that the strength of connections within the network depends on the intensity of the local flow. The problem is that if the flow drops below a certain level, the connection weakens and disappears. Ideally, this allows the body to adapt flexibly to different living conditions, because areas that do not need intensive blood supply begin to be supplied with less.
However, to restore these changes is almostimpossible. And if the plaques clog the vessels, the latter then quickly degrade. Even if the plaques are removed, the functionality of the former vessels will not be fully restored.
