The most common way to activateSOS on iPhone is to press and hold the side button and one of the volume buttons. After that, you will have the opportunity to swipe your finger on the inscription that appears to make a call. This feature called "Auto Call" can be configured by going to "Settings", "Emergency SOS" and turning on "Call on hold".
You can also call the emergency services, quickly pressing the side button five times. This will start a countdown and sound an alarm if "Countdown sound" is enabled in the settings. When the countdown is over, the iPhone will automatically call emergency services. Like auto call, 5 tap call can be enabled by going to Settings and turning on 5 tap call.
