How many Russians have abandoned VPNs and why

AlfaStrakhovanie analysts conducted a survey and found that some Russians stopped using

VPN services to bypass blocking.

About 14% of respondents refused VPN services andstopped visiting social networks blocked in Russia. They said that this is not safe: they are sure that social networks can collect personal data in order to offer contextual advertising.

The survey also showed that more than a third of Russians(39%) stopped storing passwords on phones, computers and transferring them to third parties. For memorization, people began to use notebooks. Another 41% of respondents have changed their password at least once in banking applications or online subscription service platforms or marketplaces in the past two months. Almost 12% did it twice.
