Britain is suffering from heat, so the Daily Mail interviewed experts to find out how much water you should drink
Experts say people should not drinkless than two liters of water every day, although this is a rough estimate that actually depends on the person's age, sex, and weight. A new study by the Austrian company Waterdrop, which showed that 66 people do not drink enough water every day, has led to the creation of the My Hydration app.
It estimates how much water a person needsconsume every day. For example, it is assumed that men and women aged 20 to 30 with an average weight should drink 2600 ml. Volume decreases with age but increases with weight, and should drink more water if the person is exercising or hot. According to the app, a person at the age of 50 should drink about 2220 ml of water.
One expert advised drinking 20% more than usual in hot weather, replacing tea, coffee, alcoholic and sugary drinks with water.
