Study published in the British Journalsports medicine is the largest of its kind. Using 196 previously published research articles, scientists from the University of Cambridge have uncovered a link between low physical activity and the risk of early death from heart disease, stroke, leukemia and colon cancer. Participants were followed up for an average of 10 years.
A new study found that just 75 minutesPhysical activity per week, or 11 minutes per day, is associated with a 17% lower risk of cardiovascular disease. The same amount of physical activity is associated with a 7% lower risk of cancer.
