In this article, we will help you solve some common Face ID problems that may occur on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and iPad Pro2018.

Set up a second face

Despite Apple claims, Face ID technology is not as good as Touch ID. It is more convenient, but often does not work.

If Face ID starts to work badly, tryset the function again, but do it in a bright room. Also, be sure to remove your glasses. You can also set up a second face for Face ID, and this time do not remove your glasses / cap / make-up so that the technology works better.

To set up Face ID again or add a second face, go toSettings ->Face ID and passcode.

Disconnect recognition attention

To unlock your smartphone using Face ID,you need to look at it. If your gaze is not directed at the smartphone, it will not be unlocked. This feature is often inconvenient and increases unlocking time. Luckily, you can turn off the "Require Attention for Face ID" feature inSettings ->Face ID and passcode.

RefreshiOS

This is an obvious point. If you haven’t already done so, upgrade your iPhone or iPad Pro to the latest available version of iOS 12. Apple is constantly working to improve Face ID technology through system updates. The latest version of iOS may solve your problem with Face ID.

If you have an iPhone X with iOS 11, be sure to upgrade to iOS 12, as Face ID technology has been improved in this version.

Reset your iPhone

If Face ID is still not working, tryreset your device and configure it again. This is not an ideal solution, but it will fix your problem if it is related to system settings. We strongly recommend that you do not recover from the copy, but configure the device again.

Before resetting, you can disable and re-enable Face ID on your iPhone XS or iPhone XR.

Problems with the details

If Face ID doesn't work at all, it could bedue to problems with the parts. The sensors that Face ID uses are quite delicate and often stop working after being hit. Your iPhone may have remained intact from the outside, but some details have stopped working.

If Face ID is malfunctioning or does not work at all, you should contact a specialist.
