How to disable MacBook Pro and MacBook Air automatically starting when you open the cover
Step 1:To begin, open the Terminal program.
Step2:Enter the following command:
sudo nvram AutoBoot =% 00
To execute the command, you will need to enter the password for the Mac. Note that it will not appear on the screen.
After that, your MacBook or MacBook Pro is no longerwill start automatically when you open its cover. To start it, you will need to hold down the Touch ID button for a couple of seconds. If the first time it was not possible to turn on the laptop, try again.
Turn on the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air auto-start features
Your Mac will not start up until you reset NVRAM or run the following command in Terminal:
sudo nvram AutoBoot =% 03
The command will return the previous behavior of the MacBook, which will again start automatically when you open the cover. If the command did not help, the only option is to reset NVRAM.
Some people find it inconvenient to hold the Touch ID button for a long time to turn it on, so they decide to return the automatic launch. Try both options and decide how you prefer.
