The P30 and P30 Pro have barely even gone on sale, and Huawei is already working on the next Mate 30 flagships.
What to expect
?
At a press briefing in Malaysia, representativesHuawei admitted that the autumn flagships are already being tested. Traditionally, there will be three models: Mate 30 Lite, Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, which will replace the Mate 20 Lite, Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
The older Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro should receive the yet-to-be-announced Kirin 985 chip. The Lite version will have a simpler processor: most likely, the Kirin 710 or a similar mid-level chip.
It is expected that the Kirin 985 will be paired with the Balong 5000 5G modem, which means that the Mate 30 will support fifth-generation networks. It is also possible that pentacameras with five modules will appear.
When to expect?
Huawei, it seems, doesn’t yet know when the smartphones will be ready, but they promise an announcement in September or October.
