Huawei released Mate 20 X 5G - its first smartphone with 5G support

Last October, Huawei released the flagship game Mate 20 X, and today officially introduced

and start selling the Mate 20 X 5G. This is the first commercially available smartphone of the company that supports fifth-generation networks, since the flexible Mate X with 5G, although it was introduced back in February, has not yet been released.

What we get

In general, this is the same Huawei Mate 20 X, but withBalong 5000 5G modem. The smartphone has a huge 7.2-inch OLED-display with a resolution of 2244 × 1080 pixels and a drop-shaped cut-out, a top Kirin 980 processor, a triple main camera (4 + 20 + 8 megapixels) and a 24-megapixel front camera.

But, unlike the usual Mate 20 X, the battery capacity here is reduced from 5000 mAh to 4200 mAh and there is no 3.5 mm headphone jack. Apparently, more space was needed for a 5G modem.

But Mate 20 X 5G received support for fast charging at 40 W, and the amount of RAM can be increased from 6 to 8 GB.

What is the speed

Huawei also posted a video in whichMate 20 X and Mate 20 X 5G are compared. Speedtest showed 1800 Mbit / s at boot and more than 200 Mbit / s in upload mode for the Mate 20 X 5G and 80 Mbit / s and 10 Mbit / s, respectively, for its 4G-brother.

How many?

Already today, the smartphone went on sale in the UK with a price tag of £ 999 (about 1,240 dollars).
