Huawei to release stable version of HarmonyOS in April: Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone will get it first

Huawei recently held an event in China where it revealed new details about

proprietary operating system HarmonyOS.

What is known

At the end of this month the manufacturer will releasethird test build of HarmonyOS. She will be the last. If everything goes according to plan, then next month there will be a stable release of the system. The first to receive it is the folding smartphone Huawei Mate X2. The device was presented in February with Android 10 on board. After it, Huawei is going to start updating other models. By the way, they say that the flagship Huawei P50 line will be released in China with HarmonyOS pre-installed.

Let us remind you that Huawei launchedtesting HarmonyOS at the end of last year. The mobile assembly of the system supports Android applications and looks like the Google operating system with the EMUI shell. Basically, all OS changes so far concern the kernel and the internal part of the system.
