The update was supposed to come out a month ago, howeverHuawei needed additional time to finalize the firmware. With EMUI 9.1, Huawei Y6 owners will get the new EROFS file system. With it, reading the built-in memory will speed up by 20%, and it will also free up up to 2 GB of space for storing files, thanks to the best compression algorithm. The update will also please gamers, as Huawei has implemented GPU Turbo 3.0 technology in the smartphone, which will improve performance in 20 games, including PUBG and Fortnite.
The size of the EMUI 9.1 firmware is 2.35 gigabytes, as usual, it will be distributed in stages in different countries around the world.
