Humanoid robot patient will teach future doctors to diagnose

A new humanoid robot plays the role of a patient at a doctor's appointment. This is how students learn to nominate

examinations and treatment and make the correct diagnosis.

Message from the Promobot company

The robot will work like a patient at a doctor’s appointment: medical students must accept the patient, listen to complaints, conduct an examination, and then order tests and make a diagnosis.

The role of patients is also played by special actorsor university employees, however, there are disadvantages: the actor may “play” the symptoms incorrectly, and the teacher will have to either continuously observe the process or review the video recordings.

They also noted that the robot is in exam modeis able to accurately reproduce the patient's behavior at the reception, to assess the correctness of the studies, treatment and diagnosis prescribed by the student.

The robot stimulates diseases in 8 areas, including cardiology and oncology.
