Hyundai to build flying taxi network in 65 cities with launch scheduled for 2022

The network will be launched in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Australia, Scandinavia, South Korea and Southeast

Asia. It is scheduled to launch in 2022 in Coventry in England, followed by central London and Los Angeles.

The sector is growing and we know the future is...electric aircraft and driverless taxis in cities will soon become a reality. But this may not happen if we do not have the necessary infrastructure both on the ground and in the air.

Ricky Sandhu, founder of Urban-Air Port

The companies plan to create a network of more than 200 flying taxis around the world in the next five years.

Transport will deliver passengers to any territory, not only in the city center. Taxis are charged using hydrogen fuel cells.

Previously, AirCar conducted a test flight at 35minutes between the airports in Nitra and Bratislava. The developed transport can turn into an airplane in 2 minutes 15 seconds, and then take off from a small runway.
