Kitty Hawk, a flying car startup funded by Google co-founder Larry Page,

is curtailing its activities. The company confirmed this in a short message on LinkedIn. Discuss

According to Insider, sources within the companyreported that Kitty Hawk had already stopped work on the Heaviside vehicle. Insider also reports that Page has been increasingly removed from the company in the past.

Although Kitty Hawk is ceasing development of its own aircraft, at least one project will live on in a joint project with Boeing - Wisk Aero.

“Today's news does not affect Wisk.We remain in a strong financial and strategic position with both Boeing and Kitty Hawk as investors,” – Wisk spokesman Chris Brown told The Verge.
