IDC talked about smartphone shipments in Q1 2019: Huawei grew by 50%, while Apple fell by 30%

Analytical company IDC reported on the supply of smartphones for the first quarter of 2019.

What did they say?

A total of 310 were shipped.8 million devices and this is 6.6% less than in 2018. Overall, experts say the smartphone market continues to experience difficulties in all areas. But despite this, Chinese manufacturer Huawei managed to increase its shipments by an incredible 50.3%. The company ranks second behind Samsung, whose sales fell 8.1%.

The third position in the ranking is occupied by the corporationApple. This period was not easy for her. iPhone shipments fell to 36.4 million units. This is 30.2% less than last year. Unfortunately, price reductions in some regions have not encouraged consumers to upgrade their old devices. The fall was also influenced by the fact that competitors are already showing their foldable smartphones and devices with 5G support, and Apple is not yet ready for this.

Next on the list are Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo. The first and last company's shipments are falling (by 10.2% and 6%), but Vivo showed a good result in the form of an increase of 24%.
