IFixit named the most maintainable Apple device - this is the new Mac Pro PC

IFixit specialists, having tested the case of the new Mac Pro PC as a cheese grater, finally disassembled it

and evaluated the maintainability of the device.

Recall that the PC has a modular design, thereforemany parts are easy to replace. And iFixit confirms this. True, the case is connected with the “stuffing” with several contacts, so if you remove it, the computer will automatically turn off.

But some parts, although easy to replace, butcan only be bought from Apple and, accordingly, not cheap. For example, the solid-state drive of a computer is tied to Apple's T2 security chip, so self-repair is not possible in this case.

Despite this, the Mac Pro has earned meritoriousreviews and almost the maximum score iFixit - 9 points out of 10 possible. Although mainly maintainability is not a strong point of Apple products: smartphones have 5-6 points, laptops have 3 points, and headphones have almost 0 points.
