Igor Rotenberg will create the Russian Internet of Things operator

The Glonass-TM company plans to build 34 thousand wireless access base stations of the format by 2024.

The total Internet of Things market in Russia is estimatedalmost 600 billion rubles by 2022. Experts believe that Glonass-TM will compete with the big four operators, which are gradually beginning to develop their own infrastructure for IoT.

MTS with an NB-IoT network is already operating in 50regions of Russia, company representatives said. Now the operator has launched a platform for the interaction of Internet of Things devices, and has also created special tariffs for their operation.

Representatives of MegaFon, Beeline and Tele2 refused to comment on the development of their own infrastructure projects for the Internet of Things.
