CD Projekt RED continues to improve the next-generation version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
So, on the official developer forum
Now the game designers of the Polish studio are working on the following adjustments (hereinafter the text from the site):
• Use of processor cores
We are working on improving how the game affects CPU usage.
• Performance version of DirectX 12
We are constantly working on improving the overall performance and stability of the game on DirectX 12, and we hope that you will see improvements in the coming patches.
• Performance on next generation consoles
We have received reports that some playersare noticing framerate drops on next-gen consoles in performance mode. This is especially noticeable in more demanding locations such as Novigrad and Bokler.
• Improvements to global illumination with ray tracing
We are working on reducing memory leaks due to global illumination.
• Shadow tracing improvements
We are investigating an issue with shadows from vegetation “popping” depending on how close and at what angle Geralt is to them.
• Recovery of diffuse shading based on the horizon line (HBAO) on the PC.
• Game crashes
We are constantly investigating the causes of game crashes reported to us via telemetry and technical support.
• The "Preparing for Battle" quest is still not working for some players.
We know that players who are before patch 4.01 could not talk to Avallac, they could have encountered another problem: after the patch, dialogue options that allowed you to advance on the task disappeared. We find out the root cause and try to reproduce it.
The developers at CD Projekt RED would like to thank gamers for their feedback. Information from players helps to find bugs, fix them and make your favorite game even better.
Thank you for your support and feedback on #TheWitcher3NextGen! In the coming days, we're planning to release a PC Hotfix for the game, addressing performance drops.
In the meantime, we’d like to share what our team is working on and what you can expect: https://t.co/uKe4iC79sU
