In 2019, for the first time in history, two women will go into outer space.

The Soviet cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya in 1984 became the first woman to go into outer space.

Oleg Kononenko, Canadian David St. Jacques and American Ann McClain are currently working on the ISS.

As I understand it, at the moment McClain and I are assigned to a spacewalk.

Launch of the Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft with new astronautsscheduled for March 14th. Russian Alexei Ovchinin and American Nick Haig, who did not reach the ISS in October 2019 due to the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle accident, as well as the American Christina Cook, will go into space.
