
As part of a new financial report, Activision said Call of Duty will receive some premium content in 2023.
Looks like it's a big DLC or spin-off.According to journalist Jason Schreier, a full-fledged Call of Duty will not be released next year, so Activision will fill the gap with a smaller project.
This project will probably be independentCall of Duty zombie mode. At the very least, Schreier and insider Tom Henderson say a free-to-play Call of Duty game will be released in 2023, with Treyarch taking part in the development.
Treyarch is also making Call of Duty 2024, possibly a new Black Ops.
The series hasn't been doing very well lately.Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone improved last quarter, but PC and console sales remained low, according to the report. Maybe Modern Warfare II, which will be released on October 28th, will improve the situation.
