In China, opened the first base, which simulates the Martian conditions. Anyone can visit her!

The Martian base with a total area of more than 32 hectares opened 60 km from the Lenghu settlement in

Haisi-Mongol-Tibet Autonomous RegionQinghai province. Anyone can visit the base - both for scientific and tourist purposes, this will be a distinctive feature of this center from similar ones all over the world.

At the same time, engineers note that the camp will not beused to train astronauts for flights to Mars. In total, up to 160 people will be able to stay on the territory of the base, who want to understand the conditions under which astronauts will live on Mars.

Most of the territory of the Martian base is occupied by an uninhabited desert, since only the absence of plant life allows a little closer to the Martian conditions.

The base is divided into two main zones - the landing zone and the camp for living. It is not yet known how much it will cost to live in this camp, as well as how to get to it.
