The Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that already in the 2030s in the Russian Federation, the second pilot on commercial aircraft will be replaced by a virtual one.
The agency hopes to develop by the end of 2024intellectual "virtual co-pilot", writes RBC. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has already placed a corresponding application. The value of the contract is 2.877 billion rubles.
It talks about the need to modernizeinformation and control field of the cockpit "through its ergonomic rearrangement using visual, tactile and sound human-machine interfaces." It is also required to develop the technical appearance of the "virtual co-pilot".
