In Russia, they created a durable material from garbage to cover roads

Russian scientists have made a bitumen-polymer composition that has high-strength properties and

withstands adverse weather conditions. The material is intended for the production of road surfaces and paving slabs.

The material turned out to be very durable. We have tested bitumen binder fillers for asphalt concrete. Namely, magnetic and metal fillers in micro- and ultra-fine forms. In addition, we were able to determine the optimal ratio of various components in the bitumen binder filler in order to ensure effective absorption of microwave electromagnetic radiation and the creation of self-healing asphalt road surfaces.

Olkhov is sure that the production of compositewaste-based materials will help improve the environmental situation with a large volume of difficult-to-recycle waste with a long natural decomposition.

The developed material can also be usedin the production of geogrids, geomats and geogrids. In addition, scientists have developed a biopolymer geotextile with the function of accelerating the germination of grass coverings.

The authors propose to gradually introduce the development into practice and use it in the construction and repair of roads.
