Solstice of Heroes will return to Destiny 2 with a new mode, location, and "Armor 2.0"

Bungie has announced the next Solstice of Heroes, which will take place in Destiny 2. This time, gamers will receive

a new location with a mode, a set of “armor 2.0”, as well as themed days dedicated to the elements.

Your day

Every day of the Solstice of Heroes in Destiny 2will be dedicated to a specific element - Solar, Electric or Void. By killing with elemental abilities, the player will be rewarded with corresponding orbs of light, which are needed to complete the mission and improve armor.

Having collected 30 orbs, the guardian will be able to activate a temporary “buff” for class abilities for a short time or until the first death. Please note that upgrades do not work in The Crucible and Gambit.

New zone

Solstice of Heroes will add a new zone to the EDZ,which is called the European Air Area (EAA). In it, players will be able to participate in a new mode for three (with matchmaking), where they will have to kill mini-bosses against the clock. When it ends, the main enemy will come out. The number of rewards depends on the number of mini-bosses killed.

While playing through the mode, players will be able tocollect Solstice Packs, which contain themed gear. To open it, you will have to collect Solstice Key Fragments, which are given for completing activities during the event.

Armor 2.0

And where would we be without armor?Just like last year, players will be given a set to upgrade from "Drained" to "Reborn". Each piece of armor has tasks attached to it that must be completed to increase the level of the equipment. If you previously neglected your armor, then this time you should pay attention to it. With the arrival of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, this set will become the first “armor 2.0” in the inventory.

Solstice of Heroes begins on July 30 and runs until August 27 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
