EA's financial report boasted FIFA and Sims 4, but Battlefield 5 and Anthem were disappointments

Electronic Arts has published a new financial report, boasting of the success of its projects in the first quarter

EA told investors that revenue from digitalsales over the past 12 months grew to $3.73 billion and accounted for 76% of all revenues. This is a happy indicator for the company, because compared to last year it increased by 5%. Life simulator Sims 4 also saw sales growth, with downloads of expansion packs and packs up 55% over the past quarter.

At the same time, FIFA Ultimate Team showed growth in its audience, and the number of users reached three million. But the mobile Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes has gathered 80 million players.

Anthem and Battlefield 5 on the financial listachievements are not mentioned, which says a lot. Apparently, the results are so sad that the company decided not to mention or scare investors, although previously “electronics” boasted about projects. EA called Anthem the “most successful” digital release.

As for plans, the release of the new Need forSpeed ​​and shooter based on Plants vs. Zombies is still scheduled for the third quarter of 2019. Both games will reach PC and consoles, but EA has not yet officially announced the projects.
