In the US, trying to ban smartphones for people under 21 years of age

A Democratic senator from the state of Vermont in the United States has introduced a bill that would make it illegal for people under the age of 21 to

must use smartphones. Supposedly they haven’t “grown enough” for this yet.

The senator believes that people under 21 cannotbe mature enough to use a smartphone safely. As evidence of this thesis, the politician cited cases of road accidents and the prevalence of bullying on the Internet among teenagers. Smartphones are reported to be one of the leading causes of death among young adults in the United States. Allegedly, teenagers are more often involved in dangerous activities using phones, which can even result in suicide.

The bill proposes to fine citizens under 21 years old caught using a smartphone. The amount of the fine is $ 1,000. In addition, imprisonment may be used as punishment.
