Russian edition “Lenta.ru", referring to the Ukrainian Defense Express. The material claims that the Russian military has begun to receive “the next modernization of the T-72” called the T-90M “Breakthrough.” The appearance of the latter is allegedly an attempt by Russia to cover up the “failure” with the production of the T-14 Armata.

The Defense Express article states thatInitially, the T-90's shortcomings became apparent in India, when local T-90S "faced critical problems, primarily engine overheating and rapid engine failure." At the same time, as journalists write, Russian tanks still use virtually the same engine design.

Problems with the engine supposedly did not escape the T-90M "Breakthrough". Because of this, the tank in its specific power is inferior to almost all competitors.
